1 Information We Collect

Finance Tracker collects only the minimum data required to provide you with expense tracking functionality:

• Transaction data (amounts, dates, categories, descriptions)
• Display name (optional — only if you use Family Room feature)
• Payment mode information
• A randomly generated anonymous device ID (UUID) stored locally — no personal info

If you use the Family Room feature, the following data is shared via Firebase:

• Your display name (the name you enter when joining a room)
• Your transaction data (amounts, dates, categories, payment modes)
• Anonymous device UUID (not linked to any personal identity)
• Room code and room name

2 How We Use Your Data

• To help you track your daily expenses and income
• To display statistics, charts, and financial insights within the app
• To generate budget summaries and spending reports
• To enable real-time family finance sharing via the optional Family Room feature

3 Data Storage

• All data is stored locally on your phone using SQLite — a secure, on-device database
• Optional: You can back up your data to your personal Google Drive account
• Optional: If you use Family Room, transaction data is synced to Firebase Firestore (Google)
• You have full control over your data at all times

4 Google Drive Backup

The Google Drive backup feature is entirely optional. Here's how it works:

• If you use the backup feature, your data is saved to your own personal Google Drive account
• Google controls your Drive data as per their own privacy policy
• We — Diya's Lovely Creations — cannot access your Drive backups at any time
• You can delete your backup from Google Drive at any time

5 Family Room & Firebase

The Family Room feature allows you to share your financial transactions with family members in real time. This feature is completely optional and uses Firebase Firestore (a Google Cloud service) to store and sync shared data.

What happens when you use Family Room:

• You create a room with a unique 6-character code (e.g. FT-2847)
• Family members join using this code
• Your transaction data (amounts, dates, categories, modes) is uploaded to Firebase Firestore
• All members in the room can see shared transactions in real time
• Your display name is shown alongside your transactions

What data does NOT go to Firebase:

• ❌ Your real name, phone number, or email
• ❌ Your location or device information
• ❌ Your Google account details
• ❌ Any biometric or authentication data
• ❌ Any data if you do not use the Family Room feature

Leaving or Deleting a Family Room:

• When you leave a room, your member record is marked inactive but transaction history remains for other members
• When the room creator deletes the room, all data including transactions and members is permanently deleted from Firebase
• Your local SQLite data on your device is never affected by leaving or deleting a room

Finance Tracker (Free version) is completely free with no hidden charges:

• ✅ No in-app purchases — all features unlocked for free
• ✅ No advertisements — clean, distraction-free experience
• ✅ No premium tiers — every feature available to everyone
• ✅ No trial period — full access from day one

7 Security

• Your data is encrypted when backed up to Google Drive
• Firebase Firestore data is protected by Google's enterprise-grade security
• No account login is required to use Finance Tracker
• Biometric (fingerprint) and PIN protection are available within the app
• Family Room codes are randomly generated and required to access any room
• We follow industry-standard security practices to keep your data safe

8 Your Rights

• ✅ You can delete all local data anytime directly from the app
• ✅ You can export your data as CSV at any time from Settings
• ✅ No mandatory data collection — all data entry is in your control
• ✅ You can delete your Google Drive backup anytime from your Drive account
• ✅ You can leave a Family Room at any time from the Family tab
• ✅ Room creators can permanently delete the room and all its Firebase data
• ✅ You can request deletion of your Firebase data by contacting us at diyaslovelycreations@gmail.com
